why can't I compost your tea temples in my garden?Updated a month ago

Our teapigs teabags are made of PLA (poly-lactic acid), a plant-based material.

This means that after use, the whole tea temple can be put into food collection bins, where they are available, to be taken away for industrial composting, where the conditions are right to break down the whole tea temple. They require a higher level of heat, water, oxygen and micro-organisms to fully break down than your home compost can provide.

If you're unsure of what your local council can recycle then pop your postcode in here.
